MATHEMATICS

Summer School, Stanford ULO

From June to August 2024, I attended the credit-bearing ‘Multivariable Differential Calculus’ course as part of the Stanford Pre-Collegiate University-Level Online (ULO) program. Within the 8-week course I was able to understand advanced topics such as vectors and vector-valued functions in 2-space and 3-space, directional derivatives and gradients, as well as optimization using Lagrange multipliers.

Number Theory, Stanford Pre-Collegiate University-Level Online Math & Physics

From June to August 2023, I participated in the selective Number Theory Course offered as part of the Stanford ULO accelerated program. As part of the course, I honed my mathematical skills by covering concepts including Euclid’s theorem, Diophantine equations, quadratic fields, and quadratic integers, along with the submission of regular quizzes and assignments.

Graph Theory, Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth

In June 2022, I completed the three-week long Graph Theory course offered as part of JHU CTY, where I learned concepts including the Handshaking Lemma, trees and related data structures, colorings, matchings, independent sets, and flows. I also delved into concepts of pivotal algorithms such as Dijkstra, Prim, Kruskal, Ford-Fulkerson, and the Edmond's Blossom Procedure.

Competitive Mathematics 1, Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth

In August 2021, I participated in the three-month long, intensive ‘Competitive Mathematics 1’ course offered as part of JHU CTY, where I covered core mathematical concepts including algebra, special factorization, and geometry. I completed the course with an overall grade of 97%.

Math Competition Preparation (MCP)

In August 2022, I enrolled into the Math Competition Program organized by the Russian School of Math. As part of the program, I attended weekly classes that aimed to teach students competitive math concepts and techniques, and also engaged with an independently developed syllabus that addressed problem solving skills in the domain of competitive mathematics.

Fremont High School Math Club

I am also an active member of the Fremont High School Math Club, a student-run club that meets weekly to discuss mathematical topics and problem-solving techniques dependent on upcoming intra- and inter-school math competitions.

Russian School of Math

I enrolled into the Russian School of Math in the 3rd grade after clearing a competitive selection process, and progressed through the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels to make it to the honors level of the school in 2019.

American Mathematics Contest 10

In November 2021, I participated in the American Mathematics Contest 10 (AMC 10) organized by the Mathematical Association of America in an effort to test my mathematical abilities and hone my critical thinking and problem solving skills in a timed environment.
